We’ve completed our analysis of the NFL draft , compiled dozens of expert opinions about NFL free agency, and calculated our player and team stats. Which means that we are ready to release our pre pre-season NFL power rankings.
While it is always a bit of a shot in the dark determining which teams will gel together well, and our system always performs better as the season goes on, you gotta start somewhere.
Our initial rankings have two of the oldest QB’s in the league atop the list as the Saints and the Patriots are clearly the top two teams. The LA teams, and the Indianapolis Colts round out the top 5.
5750 Pre Pre-Season NFL Rankings
|1||New Orleans Saints||30|
|2||New England Patriots||29.34|
|3||Los Angeles Chargers||27.96|
|4||Los Angeles Rams||27.52|
|9||Kansas City Chiefs||21.9|
|10||Green Bay Packers||21.69|
|18||San Francisco 49ers||14.68|
|26||New York Jets||8.87|
|28||Tampa Bay Buccaneers||6.53|
|32||New York Giants||0.03|
The Dallas Cowboys sit just outside of the top 10 but are still clearly a second tier team. In this context that is a good thing.
On the other end of the spectrum their division mate Redskins sit just outside of the bottom five. The most obvious data point we discovered is that the New York Football Giants are the worst team in the NFL.
